Hi! I’m Wee Chew
Formerly a senior international finance leader with almost 30 years of experience, I have held leadership roles in multiple business lines, with risk management and governance being areas of my expertise, amongst others.
I originally retired from the corporate world at the end of 2020, and with the free time gained, I pursued new activities - learning to cook, attending pottery, sewing, and gardening classes, doing charity work, and, yes, I went back to school! I completed a specialist diploma in gerontology, and a number of modules in financial planning. These were subjects I had always been interested in, and studying for passion is indeed different from studying to pass exams to secure good career prospects!
What I came to realise was that I am keen to continue learning, to share my knowledge and to help people where I can. As luck would have it, I re-joined the workforce as a financial planner, to have the wonderful opportunity of marrying these two passions of mine and to work with a select pool of clients.
While I may be new as a financial planner, financial planning is not foreign to me, given my academic background (first class honours in Bachelor of Accountancy, and MSc in Applied Finance) and decades of managing my personal portfolio, which is diversified across equities, properties, fixed income, and insurance segments. I am a great example of what proper financial planning can help one achieve.
I look forward to partnering you as your trusted financial planner, providing holistic financial planning services as we walk through the different seasons of life, with personalized advice and solutions to meet your unique financial needs and goals.
